Whose move is it
Every activity says who it is waiting on and what that means today — 'In progress · 2 days left', 'Submitted · waiting on Cursoria', 'Sent back · needs your attention'. The label is computed from the evidence behind it, so it cannot drift into fiction while nobody is looking.
Anonymity
A floor your staff can rely on
The staff readiness survey reports in aggregate and stays sealed until five people have replied. The platform holds no route from an aggregate back to a person — the anonymity is a property of the architecture, and your staff can be told so plainly.

My working notes, draft findings and scoring live in tables a client account cannot reach, with tests that fail if that ever stops being true. A half-formed judgement about your school should reach you when I have finished forming it, in person.
Evidence
The pack you hand an inspector
Policies, tool register, data protection assessment, training attendance, board summaries — dated, in one place, exportable. The week somebody official asks, you send a link.

The right people see the right things
Your exec lead, DPO, DSL, IT and CPD leads each land on what belongs to them. A head of science answering three questions never sees the trust's full risk position, and never has to.

The register stays live, the policies stay editable, the evidence stays exportable. Governance that evaporates the week the consultant leaves was theatre.
Built, not bought
No Trello board knows what KCSiE is.
This was written for one job: running an AI governance programme in a school, where the survey has to be genuinely anonymous, the consultant’s notes have to stay separate, and a headteacher has to be able to answer a governor’s question without ringing me first. Every rule that matters is enforced in code, so it holds on the day everybody is busy and nobody is watching.
